OUR STORY

Crime Watch Canada Magazine has served corporate and community members since 2002, with the dedication of its owner and staff. We will continue to provide citizens with quality products that help protect and inform.

Do you know?

Nine questions we put to readers. Most people can answer two or three.

  • How many charges are laid in Canada each year for impaired driving?
  • Which law in Canada’s Criminal Code specifically targets trafficking in persons?
  • Are adults and youth under the same laws for drinking and driving?
  • If your child, co-worker or spouse is doing drugs?
  • What ice can do to you, and to your children?
  • Who really lives next door to you?
  • How to spot a grow operation?
  • What your child is talking about when he or she goes to a friend’s to “bag food”?
  • The risk your child is in while surfing the internet?

Feeling a little uncomfortable about not knowing some of the answers? The world moves at a fast pace and it is virtually impossible to gather all the information we need to keep ourselves and the people we care about safe. That is the job of this magazine. Start with the features and explainers.

As well as stories dealing with common concerns, every issue carries a section on each of the following.

  1. Missing children Every issue carries current cases from our partner, the Missing Children Society of Canada.
  2. Fugitive alert BOLO-style cards for people wanted by police services across Canada.
  3. Unsolved crimes Cases where a reader’s memory may be the missing piece.
  4. Forensic articles How evidence is gathered, tested and used in Canadian courts.
  5. Drug awareness What is on the street, what it does, and what to watch for at home.
  6. Community concerns The scams, patterns and neighbourhood issues police are seeing now.
  7. Victim services Where to turn, by province, after a crime.
Crime Watch Canada works hard at providing information that is correct, sourced and relevant to the Canadian public.

Alerts come from RCMP detachments and municipal police services in every province and territory. Readers see what is happening where they live, and the businesses that support the magazine are listed in their own communities.
